In Thinking Steel we attach great importance to quality, active awareness for the environment and the optimalization of the working conditions of our employees with respect to their safety and health. Sustainable entrepreneurship is an essential part of our approach as well as keeping up-to-date in the various lines of business. Hereafter we give you an overview of the Thinking Steel’ certificates.
CE-NEN-EN 1090-1
From July 1, 2014 it is stipulated by law that a CE-declaration must be made for steel and aluminium construction parts carrying loads in a permanent structure within the European Union trade. Such a declaration can only be drawn up if one is EN 1090-1 certified by an external institute. Thinking Steel (Willemse Staalconstructies) is certified till execution class 3.
Company safety policy
Thinking Steel and its subsidiaries are committed to the protection from accidental loss to its employees and property and any sub-contract companies that may be employed by Thinking Steel, as well as to the environment.
In fulfilment of this commitment, we will provide and maintain a safe and healthy working environment as indicated by acceptable business practices and in compliance with legislative requirements and we will strive to eliminate any foreseeable hazards which may result in fires, security losses, damage to property and personal injuries/illness, as well as damage or incidents regarding the environment.
Accidental loss can be controlled though good management in combination with active employee involvement. Loss prevention is the direct responsibility of all line managers and employees alike. The safety policy applies to our own personnel as well as to personnel of subcontractors and temporary employees.
All management functions, including business, line and associated management, will comply with Thinking Steel’s loss prevention requirements as they apply to the design, operation and maintenance of facilities and equipment. All employees will perform their jobs properly with established procedures and operating philosophy.
In order to meet this objectives, we have implemented a health, safety and environmental system that meets the relevant SCC (VCA**) standard and all other client requirements.
Concrete:
- We want to prevent accidents with personal injuries, material and environment damage;
- Continuous improvement of safety is a priority to us and we work within set parameters.
- Every employee is responsible for his or her own safety as well as for a safe working environment.
- Managers will demonstrate visible leadership and exemplary behaviour with respect to safety.
- Actions and goals set will be included in the yearly program.
This objectives will be reviewed by management at regular intervals to ensure corporate goals and client expectations are being achieved.
